Born in Manila, Philippines, Kristine Aguilar is the hands behind LUPA Ceramics. LUPA is a Tagalog word that means earth/land/soil/country.
Kristine received a Fine Arts Diploma from Langara College and a BFA from Concordia University in 2009. Since finishing school, she has participated in artist residency programs in Japan, Mexico and at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts in Burnaby, BC. Her work has been exhibited across North America and published in The Journal of Australian Ceramics and Scout Magazine. Kristine is also a ceramics educator and enjoys teaching wheel throwing classes in her local community. Her studio is located in the Hastings-Sunrise neighborhood in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

*All LUPA glazes are made in-house and are food safe, microwave and dishwasher friendly (though handwashing is recommended for handmade ceramics).
